What’s my bra sister size?

Who she is and why you should meet her

Sister what now? Sister sizing is a lingerie sizing term that’s kind of like fitting into your sister’s clothes. While she may not be your traditional size, sometimes certain picks from her wardrobe can fit you like a glove. To put it in plain English, here’s the literal translation.

Sister sizing = Your bra size equivalent

-  If you do DOWN an underband size – you go UP one cup size.

- If you go UP an underband size – you go DOWN one cup size.

Why sister size

Ideally, your perfect fit will line up with your underband and overbust measurements. These can be found with our Bra Size Calculator. That said, it can be helpful to try alternate sizing that still accommodates your measurements, while tailoring to your unique body shape and personal preference.

Relaxed support

Certain bra shapes may feel better on your body type with the underband allowing more give. Your preference may be a relaxed underband fit, without compromising on support. Even with a more relaxed fit, your underband shouldn’t be loose.

Comfortably snug

Certain bra shapes may feel better on your body type with your underband sitting snug. When opting for the body-hugging band option, remember your underband should feel firm but not restrictive.

The up-down cup rule

Both versions of sister sizing should always fit your cups properly. If you follow the guide above, these will stay true to your measurements.

Underband goes UP – cups go DOWN.

Underband goes DOWN – cups go UP
